I have been working again on adding to my German and British forces in 1/72’s. It is such a nice scale to work in – enough detail to make the figures interesting, but not so much as to make painting them difficult or laborious.

This German mortar team is from Pegasus Miniatures. My first pieces from them, and I thought they painted up very nicely. There are two heavy mortars and one more light mortar in the set I have to yet assemble and paint up.

Here is a couple of shots of my German force – now approaching an under strength platoon. I may try adding in a few figures from some other manufacturers just to vary the poses a little.

Here are my British paras – only a couple of additions to them recently, but I have a few more on the workbench.

I guess I should mention that I have rebased all of my 1/72’s in keeping with my theme of upgrading my bases and scenics. I thought they turned out pretty good, for not much effort.
In addition to the figures, I am modeling up some pre-painted armored vehicles as well. We have started carrying these, so I thought I would add a couple to my forces just to make the games interesting. A Tiger I and Sherman should be about even [J]. Hopefully I will have some pictures of those for you soon.
Well, until next time…
Cheers!
